After working for many years at Newsday, I left to join my brother’s small magazine in Huntington Village. During my three years as associate publisher of The Village Connection magazine, I had the opportunity to meet so many creative, hard-working, interesting, artistic and yes, stressed-out business owners. As we redesigned the magazine to include the arts organizations in the area, my list of friends grew to include local artists, gallery curators, musicians, writers, photographers and more and I have honestly been inspired by the range of talent in this little village of Long Island.
There is always something going on here, and I wanted to share the stories and introduce you to the some of the people behind the scenes.
